Discussion

As you can see by the above Australian Burean of Statistics Data from 7th September 2013, the Abbott government has created a total of 4800 jobs in 5 Months. I have calculated the number of jobs he said that he would create. One million in 5 years is 200,000 a year or 548 per day.

This is a bit like a business plan and a budget to achieve sales. In effect it’s the Liberal Government’s and Abbott’s business plan for Australia.

Their business plan goes to the heart of a claim they have made for years. That the labor party can’t handle money and that the Liberals are the party of business.

Well, we are 6 months into the Abbott Liberal/National Coalition and looking at the figures (which don’t lie and are provided to us by an independent department of the Public service), I think that the Abbott Government has no claim to be the party of business.

In fact if we look at the firms below who are exiting Australia and the jobs that will be lost when they cease operations here the liberal Government appear to be wrecking the business plan for Australia.

The lie that was given by Abbott on Election night that ‘Australia is once again open for business” appears to be blowing up in his face.

I well remember the liberal refrain that the labor Government’s of Rudd and Gillard were incompetent. They actually created jobs in 6 years. See my blog “Will Abbott create one million jobs in 5 years”. Far from being the Economic managers they would have you believe, this group of liberal Nationals appear to be far worse managers than Rudd or Gillard every were.

The Job Figures prove it. Their Job claim proves it and their blame of Labor at every turn also proves it. Labor are no longer in Government people the liberals are and they are making a complete hash of the job and the jobs of others. Abbott is 75,208 behind in his jobs budget.

Please note that the Jobs referred to below are not yet counted in the ABS figures above. I have done a small calculation of what those jobs could cost the commonwealth if they were all to go on Newstart.
